The Houses of Broadway
Now that I've been living on Broadway eight months, I've gotten a feel for the area. I absolutely love living here! Today when I walked the girls (Rosie and Bella) instead of walking to the park, we made a loop of Broadway and I took photos along the way of my favorite houses.
Most of the homes on Broadway were built in the late 1800's to early 1900's.
Though this one is certainly the smallest house on the street, it is definitely one of my favorites.
Most of the homes here have been converted into apartments.
Though a few are still single-family homes.
This one is the last on the block, and technically isn't on Broadway, but it's a beauty.
I LOVE this one! Look at the statues in front. Each cherub is a bit different from the next.
A pink house!!
Maybe if the blue were toned down a bit (LOT)?
The only stone house on the street.
This one is so big, it has two house numbers!
My very favorite!
There you have them!
I really do love living here and plan to stay for the near future. I'm just a quick five-minute drive to my Mom's house, so I can be there any time she needs anything. I've been hanging out a lot with my brother who lives in Hagerstown and that's been awesome. I'm meeting some neighbors and have been doing things with one - like Wine Down Fridays at a local winery and Hagerstown Suns baseball games. And, I've been working at Beaver Creek Antiques (where I have a booth) on weekends - just as a fill-in when their regular staff can't work and have been loving that. So, life here is good!

beautiful houses!
Very happy for you Kathy! The neighborhood looks incredible. Lovely place to live.
Blessings,
Sandra
Location location location! What a great street. Would love to see these homes decorated at Christmas. Such character. I've never seen turret roofs cut away like that to create a window wall for living space. But I don't get out much.
Hello Kathy, I have been meaning to write before now, we saw the horrid flooding on the news last week, immediately thought of you, Bella and Rose, hoping you safe from storm damage! I can't tell you how much my husband and I enjoyed the tour of your neighborhood, I LOVE all of the houses, but especially the one with the green tile roof and mustard door and trim and the creamy white one with the neat roof line on the left, and really all-what a wonderful neighborhood! Thank you so much!! Regards, Marilyn
P.S. The bright blue trim definitely has to go!!! Maybe some OOPS paint at Home Depot? The price was just too good to pass up?
Enchanting. What a delightful place to live. Yay you! And close to your mom? Bonus!
Beautiful houses, it looks like a very unique neighborhood :)
need to make a trip up to see you ~ your street is beautiful ~ happy that you're happy my friend ~ will be in touch!!
L

They all so lovely x
My house isn't photographed. It's not one of my favorites. Much less exciting than the ones in the photos!
What a glorious neighborhood!

What a super place to be able to walk with the girls! Hope you didn't have flooding issues last week!
