My Class
On May 10th I'll be teaching a class at Lynn's of Madison in Wisconsin.
I've been working like crazy on this project and have had such fun!!
We will be covering books in fabric and embellishing them with treasures.
There will be a bit of pre-stitching involved, but not an overwhelming amount. In fact, you could stitch as much or as little as you'd like.
I will be providing patterns for five small samplers.
I've stitched four of the five designs and haven't yet finished the fifth.
And then I started playing with the inside pages of the books, adding some of my favorite treasures!
It was tons of fun going through my piles of favorite images and bits of paper I've squirreled away for the last ten years!
I've made two books and haven't even made a dent in the pages I want to embellish.
In fact, the entire project is set up on my ironing board in my living room and I just keep going back and playing more.
If you'd like to come play with me, please contact Lynn's of Madison at (608) 274-1442. They will have all the information you need.
And I'll keep playing with paper, and little stitched bits on the ironing board in my living room!
I'm dying to add feathers to my book, but have to wait for the snow to melt so I can go find some. Darned snow!!! We got another 4 inches yesterday.
Today I'll be adding a couple of little stitched Christmas things to my books. But first I want to find some paper with a Christmas print to use as the background.
My antique ledger paper provides for wonderful backgrounds!
Stay tuned! I'll be adding photos of more pages as I get them finished! I hope you can join me on May 10th in Madison!

Good Evening Kathy, Love the new posting, I surely can't make the trip to Madison, as much as I would love to. Will the very cute animals and birds cross stitch patterns be available to the rest of us to purchase? Safe travels and hugs to the girls.
Marilyn P.S. Love the books, so beautiful!
Wonderful creations, I love the pattern with the animals too, it would be available???
