A Little Bit of Everything!
Yesterday I received a package from Beth (stitcher girl extraordinaire). She was returning a model she had stitched for me. That in itself brings so much joy and excitement into my heart, but when Beth adds gifts to the package, it's just over the top joy and excitement!
Look at the the treasures she made for me!! Two wonderful pincushions full of hand-made goodness from the skillful fingers of a most amazing person I have had the pleasure of getting to know over the past year. Beth works full time, but manages to get so much done in her time off. That she is willing to spend her limited free time stitching for me is just amazing....amazing and wonderful! I'm a very lucky girl!
Remember this?
Look what Beth did with it!!! She took all of the bits and pieces of fabric and trim I had in the photograph and worked her magic! As I said above......amazing!
Now the map......thank you ALL, from the bottom of my heart, for your input on my map. Each and every comment was read, considered and appreciated. I decided to lower the map about six inches, de-clutter my desk area and let it go at that. It is now more centered with the two canvases to the left of the map and without all of clutter of the stuff I had on the wall below it, I think it looks much better. I want to get a smaller lamp for my desk and think that will help as well. While framing the map would definitely make it more in keeping with the rest of my living room, I decided not to do that for two reasons. One is that it would de-value the map considerably and the other is that I just can't afford to have it framed. I'm a single girl on a (very tight) budget!!
Speaking of FREEZING cold, enough is enough!!! The high today is supposed to be 15 degrees. Rose, Bella and I miss our walks. While I love walking my dogs, I'm just not going to do it when it's 15 degrees. The girls are crossing their paws and my fingers and toes are crossed for an early, early spring!
That's about all my news for now. I'll be back soon with a couple of sneak peek photos of my newest design.
Keep warm!!

Oh my goodness...lowering the map, and decluttering the desk area was the perfect solution! Your corner desk area looks absolutely perfect, and blends so nicely with your living room area. I too love the deer painting on your fireplace mantle...so wonderful. Your living room is so charming; eclectic, warm, and inviting.
your map looks perfect just lowered that tad bit! what a difference already ~ awesome necklace as usual ~ keep warm!

Excellent! Perfect solution! The temp here in Tallahassee is 28 and dropping...I don't think I could ever live through a Northern winter again!
