I'm Off!!
Waiting for the rain to slow down a bit so I can load up my car with all my stuff for the weekend. Had fun trying on my dress for the wedding and dress for the rehearsal dinner this morning and planning all the unmentionables, jewelry and shoes that need to go with them! Now I'm thinking casual stuff for the rest of the weekend. Already went to the bank, post office and grocery store this morning, made two necklaces, cleaned my apartment and now I'm almost there. Yay!
If you'd like to see more photos of the jewelry, go HERE!
Talk soon!

Have a memorable weekend! Sounds like you're still on those vitamins.
Kathy ~ your jewelry pieces are so lovely as usual! Hopefully before long I will be the proud owner of one of them. Have a safe trip and have fun! Best wishes to Liz and her sweetheart!
Hope you have a wonderful day at Liz's wedding.
I thought that you might be interested in my little story about the miniature of the lady that is on your second necklace.
In 1978 I was in Florence, Italy and went to visit the Medici Chapel. Inside underneath the beautiful Dome sat an old lady who was in her 80's painting. She was a miniaturist and was working on the most beautiful miniature painting. Her canvas was a sliver of ivory about 2 or 3 inches square and her subject was a section of one of the beautiful paintings on the roof of the Dome. She was also selling to the Tourists who came to admire her beautiful and tiny work brooches similar to the one that you have on your necklace. They were all portraits of Renaissance ladies in silver frames the same as your piece. These portraits are also painted on ivory. I was very privileged to be able to buy one of these beautiful pieces, but mine is a different lady. My brooch is now on a string of black freshwater pearls and every time I wear it, I get a lot of comments. http://blog.firenzelodging.it/the-medici-chapel-in-san-lorenzo/ - Sandra.
Have a wonderful time! If it's okay, please post a photo of the couple. Best wishes for a wonderful life together to Liz and her groom!!!
