Random-ness
I just downloaded a bunch of photos from my iphone to my mac and thought I'd fill you in on stuff that's been going on here recently. These are very random photos!
Liz had a craft-weekend at her Step-Mom's house a month or so ago so we could all help her work on projects for her wedding. It was such a fun weekend. Most of Liz's bridesmaids came, the mother of the groom, a few more friends, her Step-Mom, Mare, and me. Mare served Liz and me samples of the champagne which will be served at Liz's wedding. With flower blossoms! It was sooo good!
The craft weekend consisted of making gorgeous wool felt flowers, adding faux mercury glass finish to a ton of glass vases, tagging flip flops for reception dancing, glittering table numbers, lots of eating, wine drinking and good cheer! Such fun!
The above photo is of one evening's rainfall as measured by the full-size wheelbarrow in our back yard. Most of this rain came during my drive home from Baltimore. It was a SCARY drive!!

The above photo and several to follow are of my booth at Beaver Creek Antique Mall in Hagerstown, Maryland. I brought a ton of antiques in this morning, and snapped a few photos after I finished arranging everything. It is one full booth!
Next, I want to show you a few photos of my new apartment. I'm moving Tuesday! YAY!! My apartment is the first floor of a large Victorian house on a street of Victorian houses in Hagerstown. I didn't even know the street existed!
The is the fireplace is my living room. The ceilings in this room are 12 feet high! I can't wait to decorate! The carpets in the apartment are awful. And there isn't a thing I can do about it. I almost didn't take the apartment because of the carpets, but soon realized the apartment's good features far outweighed some ugly carpeting.
In this photo I'm standing in the living room and shooting into my bedroom. There are pocket doors in the walls between these two rooms.
This is the fireplace in my studio. Not nearly as pretty as the fire place in the living room, but I'm certainly not complaining!
This shot is also in my studio. It's the original stairway that goes upstairs. It's blocked off as the upstairs is another apartment. Unoccupied at the moment.
That's it! I'm still packing like crazy. The upstairs is about done, and I'll get the kitchen finished tomorrow. That just leaves me with odds and ends in the house, the summer kitchen and the studio in the barn. My deadline is approaching quickly!
I've got fencing companies coming next week to give me estimates on having the backyard fenced in for my dogs. The sides of the yard are already fenced, so they'll just need to add a 41 foot length of fence across the back of the yard.
The backyard is full of hydrangea bushes, cone flowers, black-eyed Susan's and one incredible magnolia tree which are very rare this far north. I can't wait to swipe some leaves at Christmas time and to see the tree in full bloom in the spring!
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Beautiful photos ..
Happy weekend x
Very nice Kathy I can't wait to see how you decorate your new abode. It sounds like a great time helping Liz with her wedding.
I can't wait to see how you decorate your new place ~ the ceilings, fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows are FABulous!
See you Monday!

Hi Kathy,
Boy do you have a full plate. It was nice talking to you the other day. I must say I would love to get to your booth. You are giving up some wonderful stuff.
Absolutely fantastic apartment to decorate. Cannot wait to see what you do with it. Didn't know your daughter was getting married. That in itself is a major event, but such a happy thing. Good luck to you.
wow- look at that woodwork in that studio- doesnt look a bit like a studio yet. and if it were me, that carpet would soon be scorched, paint-splattered and hard with resin...
I love how that gorgeous rocking horse looks in front of that great big portrait- like the woman is riding the horse or something. All those antiques are amazing.
i wanted to stop by and let you know all the fun I've been having with your massive mountain of gifts. even parceling out boxes for others is fun. and everyone is SO JEALOUS- if you read the comments. also, i had hubs (a natural worry-wart) read YOUR comment you sneaky thing, knowing it would give him a small heart-attack. it did. then he laughed so much in relief. Since i spread everything out to take pix for the blog, now every time my parents stop by i find them mesmerized, going through everything. then spazy mom knocked over some stuff and i was like, "GET OUT."
oh and i found another little box with 4-5 amazing treasures in it i hadnt even opened yet. like the pig comb made of horn? amazing!
Very lovely, and that staircase will make a marvelous display area!
