Fabric Give-Away

So I've finally come up with a plan!  And it's not very exciting, but you will still end up with fabric!

On Monday, May 5th, I will randomly pick a person who has commented on this blog post.  Before you comment, please know that you will need to send me $12.00 for postage by PayPal.

In your comment, please let me know:

If you prefer brown fabrics, blue fabrics, mustard fabrics or red fabrics, or a combination.

And, please let me know if you like homespun.

And, let me know what you plan to do with the fabric.  That's the part I'm excited about!

Also, please be a "follower" of my blog.

On Monday, I will randomly draw a name from everyone who commented and will fill a flat rate priority box with as much fabric as I can fit in.  It will be several yards.  The fabric has been aired out on my clothesline on a "non-farm-y day" and folded neatly.  It has not been ironed.

Winner will be announced Monday morning!

Thank you!

How fun! I am a long time follower and would love a mix of colors. I would make quilts or bags or use it for cross stitch small's. Thanks for the chance.

This is a great idea. I am already a follower. A mix would work great with my quilting. Thanks for your generosity!

How exciting! If I had to choose just one, I'd say I like blue fabrics. Mustard, Brown, + Red are great fabric colors, too.

I've been making origami bags for friends and family. They are small for sewing supplies on the go. (or tatting supplies).

I also saw a quilt pattern at recent quilt show that I might try. It had alternating 9-patch blocks with quarter square triangle blocks. When they were assembled in the quilt, it was a wonderful pattern. Traditional, easy, and the colors made it pop! So, may attempt a small throw.

Homespun is awesome! Thank you for your generous giveaway, no issue with $12 from me.

Oh oh oh! Well I thought I was a follower, but I am now. lol! Love the fabrics you've been airing out! I'd love a combination of colors. Colors are what ring my bell, so to speak. I love homespun too! I'm easy. lol! What would I make with them? Hmmm. Well they would go into a quilt for sure. What quilt depends on the fabric. :D Maybe if the fabric is too pretty to cut, I would use it for a piecing backing too. I love pieced backings! Thanks for the giveaway!

Oh my! What a fun giveaway! If I were to be lucky enough to win, I'd love a combination. I LOVE homespuns. They would go perfectly in a quilt for my cottage/primitive décor. I think I would make a wall hanging quilt.

Thank you for the chance! :)

{Oh, and I'm already a follower!)

It would also come in handy for finishing needlework smalls. Which reminds me I need to order some of your newest patterns! Good luck to all, Thanks for sharing.

I love fabric of all kinds, so homespun would be welcome in my stash. Colors? Bring them on! What would I make? I'm thinking summer clothing accents--a yoke here, pockets there...

Lisa V said...

Is this open to overseas friends? If so I would love to put my name down, I would love a selection of all colours as I only have a small fabric stash and this would enhance it beautifully. I would use them with my cross stitch finishes.
I am already a follower and thanks for your generosity.

How tremendously generous of you, Kathy!! I'd be thrilled to send you $12 for shipping. If I am selected, I will make a quilt, pillow, bag, and/or combination, depending on the fabric! I like all the colors, by the way, though I've never worked with homespun. I am a fairly new sewist and quilter and I've been cross stitching for years. Love your designs! Thanks for the chance!

Love what I can see of the fabrics. I am a huge fan of the mustards and browns, so please count me in. I use fabric for all kinds of things, but probably would use these for quilts for my grandkids.

Beth Twist said...

Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes! All the colors, homespun, repros, love them all. I like to use fabrics for backdrops, curtains, pillow covers, and always intend to turn them into quilts. Since I'm about to finish a quilt for a friend, perhaps I might start one for myself? Count me in!

I love blues, browns, neutrals and definitely homespuns! I will make small quilts with some wool applique mixed in. What a sweet way to share from your abundance! Thanks so much for the opportunity!

Hi Kathy,
If I were fortunate enough to be the winner of your most generous give-away, I would most probably use some of the fabric in my cross stitch finishing, some in my reproduction doll clothing and give a whirl at quilting. I am not too fussy when it comes to color, so any would be a treat.
I thank you for the opportunity to enter your give-away.

-Sherry-

Oh what a wonderful giveaway! I especially love blues but would use any of the colors. I do do some quilting and crossstitch finishing so I would use it for that most probably. I have also made dolls clothing. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

Pretty fabrics! I love all of the mustards, yellows, reds and if you have pinks and greens. A small amount of homespun would be ok for small kitchen sewing projects. Right now I'm working on Christmas and baby quilts as well as skirts for my daughter.

I'm just going to go for it and say blue, my favorite color. I've been collecting blue the last couple years and got some indigo prints thinking I would make a blue and white or blue and cream colored quilt.

NerdGirlNicole said...

Oh my...how completely generous of you!!! Homespun is not my favorite, but I am not picky...a combo would be fantastic! I have recently discovered finishing my cross stitches as blocks...or shelf sitters?...is that what they're called? :). I love this new (to me) way to finish!!!! Thanks for your kindness, even if I don't win :)

I love you site. I just started blogging today and came upon your blog from another blog. Exciting!!! I love your homespun fabric and the blues are gorgeous. I also love a little red and brown homespun. You are very talented and I have many of your x-stitch patterns. I love to take homspun and use it as backing for x-stitch pieces that i do not frame as well as use it with linen to make x-stitch smalls, like needle books or bags to hold my x-stitch projects.
