New Jewelry on a Saturday Morning
After a week of doing chart lay-outs, framing, photographing samplers and everything else involved with getting new designs ready, it was wonderful to spend my Saturday morning making jewelry!
My daughter Liz is totally behind this piece. She set the portrait piece in a sterling bezel for me and she made the heart-linked chain when she was in college. Each and every link is hand made and hand soldered.
This piece is all me.
Like the bracelet? The sweet silver links are from France.
Notice the background on the above photo. It's a tombstone! When we dug our compost pile when we first moved in here, we found this tombstone buried in the ground. Weird, huh?
It weighs a ton and has been sitting down near the compost pile behind the barn ever since we found it. Yesterday I got a dolly and brought it up to the back porch so I could use it for shooting photos.
It's SO me. Sheesh!!

Beautiful pieces...but my heart always goes back to cross stitch. Is there enough imprint left to make another cross stitched tombstone angel - using your charms as inspiration for motifs? ANTOINETTE (invaluable) BISSETTE (fine linen). Sounds perfect to me!
The bracelets melted my last Cadbury bar.
I love the angel bracelet, very pretty - why would a tombstone be buried in the ground? somebody moved it to make room for something?
