Many, Many Photos!
I have taken over 200 photos already today. It's crazy!!
I made this necklace last night. The little velvet pouch is a gorgeous teal blue/green.
In practically every photo I took of this necklace, the pouch looked royal blue.
And most of the photos made the pouch look royal blue.
Go figure.
I also made this little cutie. I called it Visiting Birds. I had a sampler pattern called Visiting Bird, remember? It's great when I get to re-use names!
And I made the necklace below with a rhinestone swan that came from France.
When I came back in the house, I decided to take some photos of my Christmas trees. I put up three trees this year and they are all white feather trees. I used only antique ornaments.
The ornament above is one of my favorites. The first year we lived in this house, I accidentally dropped the ornament behind one of the radiators in the dining room. I could NOT get it out. When we removed the radiators in this house a couple years ago, I was thrilled to find this ornament without a scratch or a break!
This little wooden compote lives on the table in the Room with No Name under a glass cloche. I have a story to tell you about the Room with No Name. When we re-listed our house with a new realtor back in September or October, I was showing the realtor around the house and his photographer was taking lots of photos. When we were in the Room with No Name, I told him we've never known what to call this room. He immediately said: "It's the Morning Room." Except I heard "It's the MOURNING Room." I was SO happy!! A few days later, after our house was on all the real estate websites, I was reading about the details and saw "the morning room." I was so disappointed!!
I bought this gorgeous chalkware sheep from Jimmie Cramer. Those of you who decorate with early antiques KNOW who Jimmie Cramer is. He's the KING of antique decorating, the author of many books on the subject and a former editor of Country Living magazine, and a bunch of other magazines as well. He showed me his latest book with this very same sheep in an antique bowl surrounded by moss. Of COURSE I had to go out and find lots of moss to surround this sheep now that it was mine!
Two antique paper mache santas under glass.
Ok, you've certainly heard enough of me for one day! Hope you all have a great one!
