Happy Sunday Morning!
It's a gorgeous Sunday morning! Warm, breezy, sunny....perfect!! And I've been a super-productive girl this morning.
I found a bunch of antique textiles in my storage room and hung them out on the clothesline this morning to air them out. I plan to bring them to Williamsburg for the Primitive Stitcher's Society Retreat in a few weeks.
There are show towels, pillow cases, wool blankets, a sampler, homespun yardage and more!
The magnolia tree in my back yard is gorgeous!! It's almost reached it's peak, which means in a week I'll be raking up the sweetest smelling petals imaginable. The wonderful smell makes the raking not quite as painful as it could be!
Bella (with her summer haircut) spends every waking moment outside. Rosie is more of a mommy's girl and spends every waking moment with me.
Indoors I've been needle punching like crazy. I'm totally addicted and can't seem to stop! This is the back of the piece I'm currently working on the below is a photo of the front.
I'm using Valdani threads for the first time and love them! It's hard to beat endless balls of thread all ready to go.
This photo shows an antique show towel, perfectly blank, in a wonderful small size. Under it is a piece of Weeks 35 count linen I'm going to use to reproduce the size and shape of the show towel and I've designed a small sampler to have stitched on the reproduction.
The threads on the spools are Sheep's Silk from The Thread Gatherer. The thread is 50% wool and 50% silk and is perfect for punch needle. I can't wait to start another project and use this glorious thread!
Hoping your Sunday is just as gorgeous as mine!
