Even More Christmas!
This morning I went to the local nurseries in search of greens.
It didn't matter that it was freezing cold, pouring down rain/ice/sleet.
It was time to go!
I found magnolia, juniper, douglas fir. and winter berries.
It was all soaking wet and a bit frozen, so I left it in the back of my suv all day til it thawed out.
Meet Forest, my stuffed white fox.
(Beth will die laughing here and Carol will roll her eyes.)
I can't help it!
I have a new thing for taxidermy.
Even though he's been here for a while, Rose and Bella haven't noticed him.
Until tonight.
After much growling and barking, I convinced them that he's not "real" so they've moved on, thank goodness!
That's Harry, the stuffed heron.
He's been around for a long time.
The sweet antique mercury glass boot was a gift from Liz.
It's such a treasure!!
The end!

I did roll my eyes and then read your comment, too funny.
I love your new friends and your Christmas display no eye rolling here just wish I was done with decorating.
So beautiful x
Love it, Kathy! I understand the taxidermy thing! I told the hubs a few years ago that he needs to go shoot a big buck so I can have a deer mount on the wall. Ever since I saw a show on HGTV many years ago that was filmed in a huge barn in California that had been renovated into a house, I've wanted one! The lady had a magnificent one hanging on the wall win a gorgeous patchwork quilt draped around his neck. It was STUNNING! I am on the hunt for some fabbo pheasants!
Kathy, you have a beautiful home! I love all your things! Funny that your girls didn't notice the fox right away. Have a blessed Christmas!
love it all ~ I have a couple of stuffed 'friends' here too….*whew* glad to know I'm not the only one!

Everything looks so festive and pretty!
I love the arrangement just as it is in the pink paint bucket......not a fan of stuffed dead things . Funny about the dogs though, my cats do something similar to any "new" item on the floor. Identifications must be difficult seen in gray and white. Happy Holidays.
Lovely!
