Stitcher's Finishes
Heather Long, who currently lives in South Korea, stitched my Strawberry Bird pattern over one thread on 26 count linen she hand painted! Imagine!! Heather says: I used variegated HDF and
changed the design a bit as I want to give it to a friend who has two
dogs, one red and one white. It is quite tiny, see the photo with the
dollar bill for comparison, but was awfully fun to stitch.
Look how tiny!!!
Heather is not only an amazing stitcher but she's a fan of my jewelry as well. She wears my pieces in South Korea! How cool is that??!!
Next, Veena Parrikar, who lives in Silicon Valley, California, stitched my CHS design The Birds & the Bees. She used used Vikki Claytons' HDF silks.
Look at the colors!! They are gorgeous!!
As you know, all of my old CHS designs are still available from my sister, Marty. Her email is chsamplings@gmail.com.
Thank you Heather and Veena for sharing your gorgeous work!!
On the home front, I had a fabulous day yesterday at the antique markets in Pennsylvania. When I lived in York, the markets were a short 40-minute drive from my house. Now it takes me 2 1/2 hours to get there. It's so worth the trip! The markets open early, early in the morning, so I left my house at 5:00 AM. It didn't take me long to go through my allotted spending money and I was back home by 1:00 PM. I found wonderful treasures for my jewelry! It will be a fun, fun, fun week of jewelry-making for me!
Have a great week!

Two and a half hours? And I crab when it takes 45 minutes! For a white-knuckle chicken like me, that's exhausting.
Wow they so beautiful..
I love them. So much.
Huge hugs x
cannot wait to see your new jewelry my friend ~
