Happy 4th!!
I'm going to be spending my 4th putting samplers together! I had planned to have that done by now, but it turned out I had another huge project to do. My wonderful brothers, Dan and Jerry, made the time to come up to PA yesterday and move my antiques to my new antique booth at Beaver Creek Antique Market in Hagerstown, Maryland. Their equally wonderful wives, Patty and Kathy, came up as well. Boy did they work.
I had two days to prepare for this, which meant emptying out every cupboard, pie safe, dry sink, etc. and in most cases, either packing it up to move, or packing it up to yardsale, or packing it up for Art. It actually felt really good to get the packing process started and if this house EVER sells, I'll be a bit ahead of the game.
The house is now refreshingly empty. There is still furniture around - both antique and not antique, but not nearly as much as there used to be.
Am I the only person who has walls of cobwebs and dustpiles behind and underneath where every piece of furniture used to be? Do you all clean behind your furniture? It was kind of embarrassing. Maybe it's the kind of cleaning that comes with Spring and Fall Housecleaning that my Mom has always done and I've always blown off. Somehow I need to become a better cleaner.
The house is being shown on Saturday, so once I get my samplers put together, I'll have to take time out to do some serious cleaning and lawn mowing before then. I'd rather be stitching!
Hope you all have a wonderful 4th and a seriously long weekend!
And if you're ever in the Hagerstown, Maryland area, stop by Beaver Creek to see my booth. It's number 27. I should have taken photos yesterday, but totally forgot.

Kathy,
What booth number are you? I'll have to check this out on a trip to Hagerstown.
Stasi
Hi Stasi!
Boy I hope I run into you at Beaver Creek one day!
My booth number is 27. When you walk into the mall, go to the left side, and then turn right down the second aisle. I'm almost at the end of that aisle on the left. You'll know you're in the right place when you see TONS of furniture squished into a booth and all the tags have a "KB" code on them.
Would love to see you!
Kathy
