Strawberries
I bought this gorgeous print from a street vendor in Paris. It's called "La Groseille" or "The Strawberries." I thought it would make a wonderful start to a sampler. Guess that's not going to happen!!

I can see why you fell in love with it AND it would be an awesome start for a sampler, I am really going to miss your designs Kathy!!!
ah-ha! You see, you're still thinking about designing (charts)! I'm not giving up hope completely Kathy! One day we may see you back with new designs and that would be a sweet day!
Ditto on Melissa's comment!
Well, you could dabble in designing. No pressures - no worries - but those would definitely look great in a sampler!
Those definitely would be beautiful in a sampler and so much so that if you ever did design around them, I would be one who would buy it in an instant!! I love strawberries!!
{ never say never...}
blessed be!

Hi.
I can't tell you how sorry I am that you have decided to stop designing. Though I must admit I have quite a lot on my hands with all the Carriage Samplings charts I already have. Lol! The gilded cage is being stitched here, and I'm loving every stitch...
I just wanted to say that the word strawberries is translated from English into fraises in French.
Groseilles are redcurrants.
Lili, French Blogger and a CHS fan forever.
Ahhh-- having second thoughts??? Creative types never run out of inspiration!
OK- I'm heading back to my corner to cry some more :(
What a lovely print, whatever you decide to do with it. Perhaps a design sometime in the future? Sigh, wish.
Ooooh, I would snap up that design in a heartbeat!
So sad Kathy - I will miss your designing so much. I'm sure it will be a relief not to have to be pressured to do markets and come up with new designs all the time but putting out an occasional design when the inspiration strikes would be OK with all your fans. We'll always love you! Mel
What a gorgeous print and it would make a fabulous start for a sampler. I have to echo Woolwoman's thoughts -- an occassional now and then design would most certainly be snapped up and cherished by your legions of fans.
The print is loely. You could always design something just for yourself.
Oh, fine! Dangle those strawberries right in front of us and then yank them away in the next breath. Mean, I tell you. That was just plain mean!!!
Don't toy with our emotions, Kathy. I, for one, am feeling very vulnerable right now. Even my needle's gone limp. Oh my life is over ... sniffle, sniffle.
Redcurrants, Strawberries... whatever they are, the folky look of that print would certainly be a gorgous cross stitch design.
Perhaps a final farewell limited edition? Or, you could pass the idea along to a certain best friend of yours who also designs? ;)
Hey Beth,
The design idea is all yours!!! Seriously, go for it!!!
Kathy
Kathy! I really was thinking of Anne, but if she is too busy with her move, I will gladly accept your sweet offer. :)
I'm so glad Beth!! Do you want me to send you the original print?
Kathy
I would NOT mind a new sampler (in due time)...
*hopefull eyes*
I ♥♥♥ strawberries... AND CHS designs.
*blinks with both eyes*

PS
You have no(?) idea about the heavy burden a CHS fan has of making a CHS-shopping(wish)list...
(a list that's do- and payable on such short notice if you've no creditcard and live on the other side of the world...)
(... and time flies!)
~~~~~~~~ sigh ~~~~~~~>
*sniff, snifff*
(((HUGGG for all the other sad fans)))
btw
Why not keep the existing charts going... (just take a designing break) and that beautyfull website...
♥♥♥
... ohhh... how I would miss that...
