Christmas Decorating
Thought I'd share a few photos of this year's Christmas decorating. Not quite as extensive as in years past, but quite festive nonetheless!
We finally finished my old office. WHAT a project that was. I'm very happy it's done! Our next project will be the living room. That room needs to have the floors ripped up to expose the original floor, the walls re-done and lots of painting. Doesn't sound so bad, actually!
Then.... are you ready for this? We're thinking of selling the house. Believe it or not. Art's commute from York to Hagerstown, MD each day is grueling. It's an hour and a half drive each way. He already works long hours and the commute just gets harder and harder. HUGE SIGH!
We don't have a plan yet. I'm not sure if we're going to look for an old house or a newer house. We know we don't want another restoration job. And I know I don't want this to be our final move because I don't want to stay in the Hagerstown/Frederick area forever and ever.
I'm not a happy girl about this plan. I love our house. I love my studio. I love the pool. I love the land. But, sometimes you've got to bite the bullet and do what's best.
Anyone interested in a practically finished 1804 stone house in York, PA?!

Oooooo...come to Winchester! Kidding...your house is fabulous...no doubt people who appreciate old homes and the work you have done will jump on it. Hagerstown is a nice area...lots of affordable old homes and you can choose from 4 states to live in!!!! :-)
I live in Marietta and love old stone houses. List your price on your blog when you are ready to sell
Your home is just so gorgeous, I love it when you show pictures of your decorating!
Oh... so sad! Make sure that wherever you settle, that you get those lovely, deep windows again. We have nothing like it out West, and I have decided that when we add on, I simply Must have deep stone-house-type windows. Otherwise, where will I perch my future collection of feather trees??? :)
Your home is beautiful! Love the decorations. Happy New Year.
Oh, that 's a surprise, I can understand how much of you is in this house. It's just a gorgeous one. I would be interested in it if I could live in USA but...Italy is my country my dear friend.See you in Nashville.
