Yes, my NEW SAMPLER DESIGN photos are below, but....

I've gotten into the habit, and what a fun habit it is, of going up to Adamstown, Pennsylvania each Sunday to visit the flea markets and search for treasures for my jewerly. Yesterday I found the cooooooolest thing! It's an old sterling vase brooch. There's a slot in the rim where you can insert something (like live flowers?). I spent hours playing with this last night. I had found some sterling rose chain a couple weeks ago. I took the loops off of three of the roses, drill holes in the edge and attached each one to sterling silver wire. Then I permanently attached the wires into the vase. I love how it turned out!

Everything, but I like too much.
I vote for the Mother of Pearl... I love the look of pearls and old silver together. I think that they set each other off to absolute perfection.
And I must say that I am constantly finding myself jealous of your "finds". There is nothing even close to the cool things you find out here in the West. Boo hoo. :)
Oh, I think a combination of the rosary beads and the roses would look very rich. I can't wait to get Frederika to go with Frederick, I love those birds!
I like the Rosary and the rose's chain together. I think that would equal out the size of the brooch.
I wish I could find good things here in Alabama...
I like the rosary beads and rose chain best too. Either by themselves or in combination. Gorgeous stuff!
I like the rosary beads with the vase best, second choice would be the mother of pearl...roses and pearls just go together for me.
I would stick with the original sterling rose chain. You are not colour bound by it like with the rosary beads and the problem with pearls are that you cannot wear it with just anything. I like the romantic roses all over theme.
Alice
I vote for the rose chain too.
I like the first one! I like having that colour introduced but also have the 'metal' to complement the design.
ps I am really looking forward to Fredericka!
I love the blue rosary beads and saw it attached to the handles even before I read your blog. But that's just me. CJ ok;-)
I have to say that I agree with Melissa and for the same reasons.
I love the addition of blue with old silver but also because it has the metal accents to complement the focal point.
