Of late it seems I've been measuring the value of each day by how productive I was. While that's generally a good barometer, I think breaks are good. So, tomorrow I'll be spending the day in Adamstown, PA antiquing with Liz. I can't wait!

I received the sweeeeeeetest gift in the mail from Carmen Sutton. Look what she made for me! I had seen this at her house in Tennessee when I was there in February and fell in love with it. I bought this gorgeous print from a street vendor in Paris. It's called "La Groseille" or "The Strawberries." I thought it would make a wonderful start to a sampler. Guess that's not going to happen!!

After a solid week of filling orders, I took a day off today. It was wonderful! I went to Hagerstown first thing this morning to see my Mom, who is doing much better and is on the road to recovery. On my way home, I stopped at a couple of antique malls. That's always fun! Then, I came home and made jewelry. Oh the sheer joy of making jewelry!

I wanted to show you this necklace I made today. I found the old, carved bone piece in Maryland. I've never seen another like it. I believe it's an angel. It could possibly even be a tombstone angel. Have any of you seen one of these before? Can anyone give me some clues?
I'd love to know more about it.


This is another necklace I made today. The slide locket is a souvenir piece from Cathedrale de Reims in France. The tiny book locket is also from France. There are b/w photos inside of Saint Therese.

This slide locket is embossed with an image of Joan of Arc. It's a gorgeous piece! And you KNOW how I feel about slide lockets.

Tomorrow I'll be filling orders again, but today was sheer joy!
