Jewelry

I've had a great time making jewelry since returning from Nashville. After weeks and weeks of making charts, it's such a pleasure to make jewelry for a change!
Liz and I went antiquing this weekend in Ellicott City, Maryland. What a wonderful, early town! Main Street is on a steep hill and on each side of the street are old houses sitting high above. It's a gorgeous place!
Only 11 days until we leave for Paris! The countdown is on!!

I'm Off!!

My flight leaves at 9:00 tomorrow morning and I'll be in Nashville by 2:00. Life is good!! I've shipped off 23 boxes of charts, models, charts, supplies, charts and general stuff - for a total weight of 502 pounds. That's 502 pounds of stuff no longer in my studio! That's a good feeling!!
I'm very excited about this Market. It will be wonderful to hang out with my friends, be in a different (warmer) environment, NOT make charts; just enjoy a totally different atmosphere and do something different. I love that this Market is in February - it's the perfect break from the winter blahs.
Wishing you all a great weekend! Talk to you next week...

Thursday Evening Update
I PROMISE I will make it to the studio tomorrow and add some AHRH photos. The drive way is clear and I just have to shovel a path from the driveway to the studio. I've finished over 700 charts. Yay! It was a productive day! I'm ready for the snow to be OVER and life to return to normal! I've been house bound long enough!
Hope you guys are having a good one!

Wednesday Evening Update
The snow has finally stopped! They're saying we could get a few more inches tonight though. We've gotten another 12-18 inches today. It's kind of hard to tell exactly how much it snowed today because the drifts. There's a drift in the side yard, under my clothesline which is almost touching the ropes of the clothesline. It's gorgeous out there! Tomorrow Art and I will start shoveling. Can't wait for that!!
I've finished 595 charts. That's a good thing!
Oh, there's another snow in our forecast for Monday or Tuesday of next week.....

Snow Update
We got 7 inches of snow last night. Today it's coming down in buckets and blowing sideways. I can't imagine shoveling out of this.
So, I'm making charts! I've finished a grand total of 134 so far. I've got a LONG way to go!!!
I'll keep you posted!

Snow
It's snowing here now and we're supposed to get another 12 inches between tonight and tomorrow with wind coming in tomorrow for near-blizzard conditions. Oh BOY!!! I'll post another block when I can make it back down here again.
In the meantime, I'll be making CHARTS!!

Another Block For You!

This is Block #5. I hope it tickles your fancy!
I'm off to the printers before the snow comes. We're supposed to get another significant snow today. Can you believe it? We're not completely dug out yet from last weekend's snow. I'm bringing all my chart pieces into the house so I can spend my time putting AHRH charts together while I'm stuck inside. Everything has to be shipped down to Nashville a week from today. Panic has definitely set in!!
More Blocks for You!

I am in my studio!! And I'm thrilled to be here! Art and I have been shoveling and it's NOT fun. We were able to get his pick-up out, but we haven't gotten his car or my SUV out yet. We'll get there.
Hope you like these! The top one is Block #10 and the lower one is Block #2.

Update - Very Stuck
I never made it down to the studio today. We ended up with almost two feet of snow. Then it got windy and now we have drifts. Art assures me I'll get down there tomorrow though and as soon as I do, I'll post some photos for you.
Thanks for your patience!!

Stuck
Well, we got over a foot of snow last night. I'm not sure when I'm going to make it down to my studio in the barn, but it's going to take a LOT of shoveling. So, please be patient. When I do make it to my studio, I'll post another photo.
Here's the deal: the amount of comments on my last photo entry (the witch) will determine HOW MANY photos I post when I do make it to the barn. Only one entry per person please (Liz).
Have a great Saturday!

Fourth Block

Be sure you count the comments I'm getting from Liz. She cheats!!! She's also my daughter! Check out her blog when you get a chance: www.lizmathews.blogspot.com. She's got a gorgeous photo of a robin in the snow!
It's snowing here. We're supposed to get around a foot tonight. Down in Maryland, where Liz lives, they are supposed to get 30 inches. Let's hope it's the last snow of the season!
I've been printing like a crazy person today!
This is, by the way, Block #9.

Contact
Just wanted to let shop owners know that we're having phone issues here. The phones in the house are not working. The phones in the studio are working. Go figure. So, if you're trying to reach me and I'm in the house, I won't hear the phone ring. Please e-mail me! It's the safest bet until Art figures out the phone situation.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Third Photo

Because you guys are ever so sweet, here's another block for you. It's Block #3.
Keep those comments coming!
Second Block

It's 7:00 AM and it's 48 degrees down in my studio in the barn. I've got the pellet stove fired up and as soon as I post this block, I'll head back up to the house for an hour or so until it warms up down here. In the meantime, here you go!
This is Block #11. Hope you like it!

Availability of AatHRH
Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow will be released at the Nashville Needlework Market February 20-21. I'll have plenty of copies for shops available at Market. As soon as I get back, I will begin shipping charts out to shops on my automatic and shops who pre-order the charts from me ahead of time (who do not attend Market). I will get them out to shops as soon as I possibly can! The retail price of the chart is $36.00.
Does that help? If you can think of anything else I need to tell you that I'm forgetting, please let me know!
Thanks!

Wow!
Wow, you guys! Thank you for all your wonderful comments! And, I would post another photo right now, but I'm on my laptop in the house and the photos are on my computer down in my studio in the barn. And it's COLD outside!! I'm sorry. I'll post another photo first thing in the morning. And if there are plenty of comments, I'll post even another photo sometime tomorrow!
Have a good night!

Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow Once Again
Just wanted to let you know I'll be posting the first photo today! I'm currently stretching the sampler onto foam core. Both of my hands are asleep, so I'm taking a quick break. As soon as it's stretched, I'll take it outside to photograph. Won't be long!
