Just got back from a fabulous weekend at the beach with Liz. We went to Maryland's Eastern Shore for a little antique-ing, a little beach-ing and a little mother-daughter bonding! We had SUCH a great time!! We ended up spending Saturday night at Rehobeth Beach in Delaware. Such a fun place! We got an ocean front hotel room and Liz got up bright and early to take photos of the sunrise.

It seems I postpone updating my blog because I don't do a lot of exciting stuff. Pathetic, I know. In an attempt to blog more frequently, I'm going to post even when I don't have exciting news to share. (Lucky you!!)

Today was one of those days that seemed endless. I made jewelry in the middle of the night...part of my insomnia generated activities. And, this morning, I posted them here.

Today, I was in slow motion.

I finished my necklace last night....see what you think!

I added four strands of antique mother of pearl rosary beads.


And a vintage rhinestone clasp. It's quite the statement piece!

When Liz and I went to the D.C. Big Flea a couple weeks ago, I found this incredible antique hand-painted ivory pendant. The detail in this piece is amazing. I can't imagine painting this tiny in such detail! Even the setting is awesome; it's sterling filigree.

I couldn't resist it and spent a small fortune, but was thrilled to have it to work on.

I've been playing with it a couple days now and know I want to go with the mother of pearl rosary beads I found in Paris. And I'm pretty sure I want to attach this gorgeous sterling heart locket which came from Paris as well.

I ALMOST hate to finish it! But I will, very soon!

Susan Biggers from Historic Stitches had the BEST idea! She suggested I make this chart available in case some of you tombstone angel lovers didn't get the 2008 Halloween issue of Just Cross Stitch Magazine.
