I Made a Decision
Thank you all so much for your input! I read and considered each comment and finally figured out what I wanted to do. I went with the blue rosary chain, the mother of pearl beads and added some rhinestones just because rhinestones are fun. I'm pleased with how this piece turned out and thank you all very much!If you'd like to see more images of our creation, please go here: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=26984310
Hope everyone is having a good one!

Yes, my NEW SAMPLER DESIGN photos are below, but....
I wanted your input on something. So, I'm posting again.I've gotten into the habit, and what a fun habit it is, of going up to Adamstown, Pennsylvania each Sunday to visit the flea markets and search for treasures for my jewerly. Yesterday I found the cooooooolest thing! It's an old sterling vase brooch. There's a slot in the rim where you can insert something (like live flowers?). I spent hours playing with this last night. I had found some sterling rose chain a couple weeks ago. I took the loops off of three of the roses, drill holes in the edge and attached each one to sterling silver wire. Then I permanently attached the wires into the vase. I love how it turned out!
Since then, I've just been thinking about what to do with this next. I want to make a necklace with it and attach chain/beads/stone/whatever from the vase handles. I've been weighing my options and find I need opinions other than my own. So, here are some options:
This is some gorgeous antique rosary chain I also found yesterday. They are blue crystal beads between sterling bead caps, hooked together to make a chain. I really like this with the vase. You?
Then there's this. This is the original sterling rose chain from which I swiped the roses for the vase. That might look cool too. Do you think?New Designs Coming Soon!
Yep, two new designs will be released either late this week or early next week, depending on when I finish stuffing a couple thousand charts.
This one is Ravens & Pumpkins & Cats, Oh My! It is stitched on 40-Count Autumn Gold from Lakeside Linens using Belle Soie over-dyed silks from Crescent Colours. The fabulous frame is from Valley House Primitives.
This one is Frederika, Frederick's Companion. This one is stitched on 40-Count Pearled Barley from Lakeside Linens using Needlepoint Silks in almost the same colors as Frederick. The gorgeous frame is also from Valley House Primitives.

I am Printing.....
therefore, I am bored! So, even though I have no exciting news to share, or profound information to impart, I'm posting anyway!
The photo above is my jewelry bench. I've given up on trying to keep it neat and tidy. It's just not going to happen.
The photo above is the pool thermometer. If you look (very) closely, you will see it reads 78 degrees. This is the warmest it's been all year. Now, the normal comfortable temperature range for swimming is 81 - 83 degrees. When it's 78, you get in (slowly) and shiver for a long time. This doesn't mean I don't swim. It just means I get in slowly and shiver for a long time.

Catching Up Part II
Ok, I'm trying again! Got my photos loaded, so it should work this time!
I'm still making jewelry like crazy and loving every second of it. I've gotten in the habit of going up to Adamstown, PA every Sunday to hit the flea markets. It's such fun and I've been finding fabulous treasures for my jewelry. It's my reward for a weeks' hard work! Oh, I'm having a sale - on my Etsy page! Check it out: www.moandmo.etsy.com.

And, I'm continuing to add more out of print and OLD designs to my other Etsy page: www.kathybarrick.etsy.com. Liz is also adding more designs to her page: www.elizabethsgarden.etsy.com.

I'm still designing Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow. Carol is stitching away on the first half and I'm working away on the second half. In the meantime, I'll be releasing two new design in the next week or two. One is called Frederika (Frederick's spouse/girlfriend/sister/whatever) and the other is Ravens & Cats & Pumpkins, Oh My! Can you tell it's a Halloween design? Photos to follow soon.
Speaking of photos, and frustrating website updates.....I may finally, finally, finally soon be able to update my website. It's been since February!!! That's just crazy! But, it seems I have a new server and my new server doesn't like my computer. But, we're working on it. My fingers are crossed!
Bella Bean continues to grow!! Her manical behavior continues as well!! She's adorable and fun and a thorn in Rose's side half the time and her best buddy the other half.
Catching Up

NYC was such fun!! I LOVE going with Liz because not only is she fun, but she KNOWS NYC. She knows the subway system and the street system and every other system that is way beyond me. We hit the major jewelry places she wanted to see. And there is NOTHING like Metalliferous! It is a jeweler's delight. It's even a wanna be jeweler's delight! We had dinner at Serendipity, we walked miles and miles and blocks and blocks. And we drove home exhausted!
The photo above is, believe it or not, the view from our bus stop in N.J.
Ok, I forgot to load all my photos first and this is driving me insane, so I'm going to post this, then do another post! Sheesh!!
