Anne and I will be doing the York Folk Art Show this weekend at the Fairgrounds in York. I hope some of you local girls (and boys!) will come see us. We'll have lots and lots of jewelry and charts as well.

I've been a busy girl this week making jewelry and trying to get myself re-organized after both Nashville and Liz's Philadelphia show. My studio is still a mess, but I'm about caught up with paperwork stuff and making charts. Life is good!

Spoonflower

Have you heard of Spoonflower? It's such fun!! Go to www.spoonflower.com with an idea in mind of how you might like to design a piece of fabric. I chose my new "Big Brown House" design, uploaded the image, played around with it a bit and look what arrived at my doorstep! It's a two-yard piece of 42 inch wide fabric with my big brown house design repeated. It's wonderful!! There are endless possibilities!! I wish this had arrived in time to take to Nashville as it would have made a great display, but I'll have it for future shows. For $36, I'm a happy girl!

It just occurred to me that today is Friday the 13th. That might explain some things! I'll be posting a lot today. There isn't a lot to do here. Ad I'll be here til 6:00 PM. So, be prepared!

Greetings from Philly!

Here's a photo of Liz, mugging for the webcam on my laptop. She's got the mugging thing DOWN!! We're at the Buyer's Market in Philly. The show is HUGE. There are thousands and thousands of exhibitors with the latest in jewelry, pottery, glass, apparel, just about everything. The quality of the stuff is incredible. The number of buyers is less than incredible. A sign of the times? Maybe. Hopefully it will get better as the day goes on.

Philly is a fun town! It's huge. It's very easy to get lost! Thank goodness for Betty, my GPS! We're staying at the Hampton Inn, about two blocks from the convention center. An easy walk so the car can stay parked, which is a huge bonus!

While hanging out at a five-day show is not exactly what I'd like to be doing so soon after returning from Nashville, it's great hanging out with Liz. We've been having tons of fun and getting in lots of mother/daughter bonding time!

I'm Off Again!

I returned from Nashville Monday evening and Wednesday morning I'm off to Philly for a five-day show with Liz, my daughter. She's doing a HUGE wholesale jewelry show and is here now working like crazy! I'll be back Monday night and will try to do a Nashville update sometime on Tuesday. Sorry for the delay!

I'm Off to Nashville!

I'll be leaving around 6:00 AM tomorrow for the airport. I'm looking forward to an exciting Nashville Market! My new designs are posted on the "News" page of my website: www.carriagehousesamplings.com if you'd like to see them.

Everything for market was shipped off yesterday and I've been enjoying my down time ever since. I've been cleaning my studio, making jewelry, watching endless episodes of The West Wing and taking the occasion nap. Life is good!
