A Jewelry Kind of Day
Yesterday I took a break from the moving and unpacking and organizing and spent the day making charts and making jewelry. The jewelry part was SOOOO much fun!
You can see the individual pieces on my Etsy page: www.moandmo.etsy.com
Today I'm making charts. And charts. And more charts.

My Favorite Part
My jewelry area is definitely my favorite part of my new studio. And, I got the majority of it set up today. It's a happy day! This is my first bench. The second one is still in the main part of the barn and it's waaaaay too heavy for me to move alone.
These are the drawer units that sit directly behind my bench. The are FULL of fun stuff!

More Studio Progress
With the exception of the jewelry corner of my studio (see photo below), things are really coming together!
My "office corner" is almost there. My printer was moved in today. That's a huge step! Now I can resume making charts and finally get some orders out.

Second Post Today - Thank you Tracy!
When I taught at Shelley's Retreat (Covered Bridge Needlearts) in September, I got to see my bud, Tracy Riffle. It had been so long since I had last been able to spend any time with her. We had lots and lots of catching up to do. Those of you who know Tracy know she is one of the most fun people in the whole world and is so very sweet to boot. It had been so long since we had seen each other that Tracy gave me my Christmas gift (I had mailed her gift). Anyway, this is what Tracy gave to me. It's a ferris wheel! It's a thread holder! It's a thread-holder-ferris-wheel. It's very cool! I've been waiting for my new studio to be ready to display it and it made today an even happier day! Thank you Trace! My New Studio or Moving Stinks!!
The moving-in part is about half way done. We've brought load after load of stuff down from the house. Eventually I'll get it all put away and organized. Right now, it's just a mess! The top photo is where my jewelry corner will be. I'll bring in the bench I use now and Liz's old jewerly bench from college which is were I'll do all the "heavy metal" stuff like sawing, soldering, etc.
The next photo is the "office" part of my studio where my printer will be, my desk, computer, phone, fax, etc. It's the brains side of the business. haha
Meet the new pellet stove, my source of heat. I love my new pellet stove. It's amazing how quickly it warms up my studio.
This place is BIG!!!
Art is on vacation this week, thank goodness. He's been a huge help. Today alone he moved four of my seven file cabinets in here, hooked up my phones, my fax and my computer. He painted my file cabinets for me. And, he's carried countless boxes down here, my desk, chairs. He's put together two new desks, a table, three bookshelves and a drawer thing. I think he's getting sick of this project!Today, though, he made my stop and smell the roses. He found this bee hive in the maple tree right outside my studio door. Cool, huh?!

And the sunset was glorious!

Tomorrow Anne and I are heading to Philadelphia to set up a jewelry show for the weekend. Our jewelry will be at the Strawberry Mansion. Check it out if you're in the area!
Ok, I'm going to get back to work. Lots more stuff to bring down. I'll be a happy girl when it's done!

The Big Move
The new studio is almost ready! All the painting is done - finally. Man, do I hate painting! We have a new pellet stove in and the whole room is warm and toasty. Art finished all the wiring that had to be done. Tomorrow we start moving furniture in. I'm very excited! The room is 19 x 31 feet and my old studio is 17 x 16, so my work space is more than doubled.
I'll post photos soon!
